The Gators had a great weekend recruiting by landing 3 talented recruits. Only one of the three recruits was scheduled to commit this weekend, so it was good to see Coach Mac and the crew able to get people to commit before National Signing Day.
Here’s a look at who the Gators got:
LB, Nick Smith Dr. Phillips High School, Orlando, FL
Nick Smith was the lone recruit this weekend that was actually scheduled to commit to a school this weekend. Smith who is listed as a three star linebacker, plays a lot better than that ranking. (Look at his tape) Smith was a huge get this weekend for the Gators as they look to add much needed depth to the linebacker position.
CB, Brad Stewart McDonogh 35 High School, New Orleans, LA
The Gators really needed to add some fire power at the Corner back position with Quincy Wilson and Teez Tabor leaving for the draft this year. And that’s exactly what Stewart brings to the table, fire power. Stewart was one of the Gators early on targets who the Gators were high on. Stewart will definitely be able to come in and compete early and his signing already has fans thinking Blades who?
S, Donovan Stiner Bellaire High School, Bellaire, TX
The Gators were able to add some depth at the Safety position by adding Donovan Stiner to their class. Stiner was originally a Houston commit before flipping to the Gators after his visit. This is the first of what the Gators hope as many commitment flips before National Signing Day.
