Four star Offensive Lineman Kai-Leon Herbert has finally decided to decommit from Michigan after thinking about the decision for awhile now.
Now that Herbert has decommitted the race is on between the Gators, Miami and Auburn to land this talented player.
Herbert is a very talented Offensive Lineman from American Heritage High School. We stated earlier this year (Gators in Position to Flip Herbert) that the Gators were in position to flip four star recruit.
The Gators have been helping Herbert with an injury to his shoulder and that has played well with them throughout the process. But a bigger reason the Gators may be able to get Herbert is his teammates at American Heritage, Marco Wilson and James Houston, have been recruiting him the entire time.
Another teammate of Herbert who may join the Gators is Tedarrell Slaton, who visited with the Gators this past weekend. Herbert will be in Florida on January 27th so his parents can get a feel of what the University of Florida is like and what it can offer Herbert.
I believe that the stars are aligning and a pipeline from American Heritage to Gainesville is happening. If the Gators can sign Herbert that will bring a much needed boost to the recruiting class.
If the Gators can lure Herbert to Gainesville, they will have a big advantage in chemistry. A message to Herbert, we got Michigan week 1, let’s show them what you are made of!
