Last week, we ran an article about a not so well known player in Rocky Jacques-Louis. After the interview, Rocky, has secured two D1 offers. Rocky’s brother, has a different story to tell. Shocky Jacques-Louis, younger brother of Rocky Jacques-Louis, currently has 16 D1 offers and has coaches from across the country interested in his talents.
Shocky Jacques-Louis is a 6’0 170 lb receiver from Dunbar High School in Fort Meyers, Florida. Last season Jacques-Louis was able to haul in 20 passes for 314 yards and 7 touchdowns. Shocky also received 1st team all-district honors and was rated #5 top prospect in Southwest Florida by the Lee County news.
Jacques-Louis’s wasn’t always the greatest on the football field.
“When I first played football I didn’t like it because I was trash,” Jacques-Louis said. “But my step Dad told me to keep playing and working on it and I will become better, so I did.”
His step Dad was right, Jacques-Louis got a lot better. Watching his tape, Shocky has the speed and vision you look for in a receiver. He is a home run waiting to happen every time he has the ball in his hands and is great at creating separation.
“My Uncle always told me everyone stands up in their seats when i get the ball,” Jacques-Louis said. “Because they know that anytime I touch the ball I could score.”
As it stands right now, Shocky has 16 D1 offers to his name from schools like Kentucky, South Carolina, Central Florida, South Florida and Syracuse. Shocky says he is content with the offers he has now but would love to have an offer from the University of Florida.
When determining which school he will attend, it’s critical that the school has his degree of choice.
“I want for my school to have a good graduation rate among athletes and have my major,” Jacques-Louis said. “I would also like an offense that I can really jump into and help out.”
Shocky also would like to play with his older brother Rocky at the next level if it’s possible.
Jacques-Louis plans on taking some visits to South Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky and Central Florida this upcoming year. But he hasn’t ruled out a visit to Florida if he indeed gets offered.
It’s also worthy to note that Shocky’s cousin Divaad Wilson is a current Gator commit and Rivals top 250 recruit.
We wish Shocky and his brother Rocky the best of luck with their recruitment process.
