Jordan Whittington is a 6’1 197 receiver from Cuero High School in Cuero, Texas. Whittington is currently rated as a four star recruit and we sat down with him for a player spotlight interview.

Whittington was District MVP, All Area, All State,  and All American last season with 795 receiving yards, 12 receiving touchdowns, 45 receptions and 17.7 yards per catch. Whittington also saw time at kick and punt returning, corner back, running back and quarterback.

Whittington started playing football at a very young age, having grown up around it his entire life.

“When you are raised in Cuero, Texas, you play football,” Whittington said. “A lot of my family played, so I played and really liked it.”

Whittington’s play has got him noticed by a number of top Universities as he currently holds 14 offers.

“I currently have 14 offers and the one’s that stand out right now are Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Ohio St.,” Whittington said. “But I would really like an offer from the University of Florida.”

Whittington is a player that can give you what you want as a coach. He is a very versatile athlete that can play anywhere, runs great routes, and can separate from defenders.

Whittington ultimately wants to go to a University that will help him with his career outside of football.

“When I’m choosing a college I want to go to, I want a place that has my major,” Whittington said. “I also want people to help me pursue my career if I don’t make it to the NFL.”

Whittington really enjoys going to camps to see coaches in person and compete with the best. He also does plan to take a visit to the University of Florida as well as other colleges this year.

He plans on silent committing to the school of his choice and announcing his decision when the time is right at his home field in Cuero, Texas.

We want to thank Whittington for his time sitting down with us for the interview and wish him the best of luck with the process.
