Tedarrell Slaton is a four star recruit out of American Heritage High school and the number 65 overall prospect in this years class. Slaton who is currently a Guard at American Heritage High school says that the Gators are recruiting him to play Defensive Tackle.
With the Gators losing the dynamic duo of Caleb Brantley and Joey Ivie, it makes sense for the Gators to be looking to fill the void with Slaton. This helps the Gators because playing defense is Slaton’s preferred position.
It also helps that a pair of Florida commits (Marco Wilson and James Houston) are actively seeking their friend Slaton to join them in Gainesville.
Slaton will be in Gainesville on January 20th for his official visit. The 6’5 350 pound lineman is also considering Baylor, Georgia, Kentucky and Ole Miss. We look forward to Slaton coming to Gainesville and helping plug the holes on the defensive line.
If Slaton does end up as a Gator he can feel comfortable about Gators successes at that position. The Gators just put out Brantley but have also had guys like Jonathan Bullard, Marcus Thomas, Gerard Warren, Jaye Howard, Ian Scott, Ray McDonald and a slew of others.
We will keep you updated with the progress of Tedarrell Slaton.
